About Dylan Zhang

As an 5th grader, Dylan Zhang has strong passions in math, piano and violin. He has won prizes in piano competitions. He was the First Place winner of the Illinois State Music Teachers Association (ISMTA) Competition (2023) and the Carmel Arts International Online Competition (2023). He won the First Prize in the Franz Liszt Center International Piano Competition (2024), the First Place and the Most Promising Young Pianist Award at the Chopin with a View International Festival and Competition (2023). He was a Gold Medalist in the Grand Metropolitan International Music Competition (2023). He was a prize winner of the Carmel Klavier International Competition (2023), the Aloha International Piano Competition (2023), the Elevato Piano Competition (2023), the Odin International Music Online Competition (2022), the London International Music Competition (2022), and the WPTA Spain International Piano Competition (2022). He was a winner of the American Fine Arts Festival Competition (2022) and performed at Carnegie Hall. He won Honorable Mention in the Walgreens National Concerto Competition (2023) and Honorable Mention with Distinction in the DePaul National Concerto Competition for Young Performers (2023-2024).
